ECG Basics and the Normal ECG

This section will cover the basics related to understanding the ECG. This spans from the physics that describes how cardiac electrical activity can be captured as squiggles on a page, to some practical details about ECG leads and the ECG paper itself.

There is also a subsection dedicated to describing the elements of a normal ECG (such as the p wave, QRS complex, and so on) with a detailed look into the physiology behind them. This is followed by a section exploring how to determine rate and axis when examining and ECG.

Explore the links below, or in the sidebar menu, to navigate to the various subsections.
